The entrance into the city of the Treviglio - Brescia High-Speed/High-Capacity line (Milan - Verona High-Speed/High-Capacity line) starts from the Brescia West interconnection and ends with the connection at Brescia station for an overall distance of 6.9 km, including a section of three km alongside the conventional line up to Mella River and a section of 3.9 km from Brescia Scalo to Brescia Central.
The new Mella Junction allows trains from Milan on the conventional line to enter Brescia Scalo and Brescia Central by using the High-Speed/High-Capacity urban route in. The renovation of the Brescia Central town railway plan with the separation of traffic flows and the construction of a new passenger underpass as well as the upgrading of the existing underpass.
