We design the future
Linea di Contatto was founded in 2009. We are an engineering company specialised in the design of railway electric traction systems.
We are constantly looking for innovative solutions to improve the services we offer and the quality of our project documents.
We develop electric traction projects for traditional or high-speed railway lines, tramway and metro lines, both for new builds and systems undergoing partial or complete renovation. Thanks to the experience we have developed throughout more than ten years of being in business, we have an in-depth understanding of market dynamics and can meet clients’ needs in accordance with the regulations and standards set for the sector, both in Italy and abroad.
Expertise, quality and reliability
We have developed “ad hoc” software for the design and structural assessment of reinforced concrete foundation plinths and metal structures for supporting overhead lines.
We have also created applications for automating the production of drawings, bills of quantities and material requirements planning to guarantee quick, accurate results. We have also adopted the most advanced technologies for site inspections and surveying the existing structure, from 3D surveys through laser scanners to GPS, not to mention traditional working methods, always supported by the experience we have developed in a wide range of situations.

The members of our team have technical expertise in specific areas: electric traction design, structural calculations, topographical surveys and civil construction. This gives us the possibility of developing our services completely in-house, without the need to bring in external contractors, therefore guaranteeing constant, direct control over the entire process.
