Working in Italy for many years has allowed us to gain an in-depth understanding of one of the most developed and complicated railway networks in the world. The projects we have designed now cover the whole of Italy, from Bolzano to Reggio Calabria.
They are not just traditional lines, but also high-speed, metro, rail and tramway lines. The high level of professionalism we have acquired in Italy has allowed us to work alongside major Italian companies in designing projects abroad, dealing with very different regulations, technologies and systems from Italian ones: a challenge we have overcome together with our clients.
We have worked with the biggest Italian companies specialised in infrastructure construction, both in Italy and abroad. We have supported major engineering companies in designing electric traction systems as part of large national and international commissions. In any situation, we have been able to develop the best solution, meeting our clients’ needs.
We have a detailed understanding of the Italian railway network, which has cutting-edge railway lines especially for high-speed trains. We have designed major sections and stations from north to south: projects for new electrifications or renovation projects for existing systems.
Aarhus LRT - Denmark: Working drawings and detailed design for the Aarhus Light Rail Transit System project divided into about 100 km of single electrified track with 610 mm², 540 mm² and 440 mm² catenary systems for the plain tracks and with 305 mm², 270 mm² and 220 mm² catenary systems for the sidings. The project also includes the construction of a tramway section connected to the railway section upstream and downstream of the city of Aarhus of about 16 km of electrified track with a 300 mm² catenary system and the electrified tram depot with a 150 mm² catenary system.
The work involved producing not just the working drawings and detailed design but also the specifications for all the types of lines used, including the structural assessment of all the steel support structures, both for the rail and tramway lines, as well as determining the maximum base loads of the supports for the use of prefabricated foundations.
Working drawings and construction design of the new “Oued Tlelat – Tlemcen” high-speed line which crosses through Algeria: 132 km of 1x25 kV alternating current double-track line with a catenary system from the French “85 catenary system”. We designed the system, established and assessed the support structures and foundations, and produced the construction and detailed designs, the technical specifications, the bills of quantities and the material requirements planning.
Final design of the railway link between the airport and station of the capital Riga, a pilot project as part of the new “Rail Baltica” railway line (Trans-European Transport Network – TEN-T), promoted by the European Union. ET system design, organised into the following phases:
